Bangladesh is 30 steps ahead in the global cyber security index

Bangladesh is now ranked 38th in the world in cyber security as per the International Cyber ​​Security Index-2021 of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). That shows that Bangladesh has progressed 30 steps ahead. Bangladesh was ranked 68th in the latest index based on the legal system, technical expertise, organizational system, capacity building and mutual cooperation adopted by 194 countries in cyber security. At that time, Bangladesh scored 81.27 points in this index, this time it got 59.74 points. However, this time the score seems to be low on the surface, but the index's cyber threat analysis and cybercrime, the BGD e-Gov CIRT of the ICT department of Bangladesh working on this issue has got 100 percent marks. However, no number was given for the security of personal information in the evaluation of this index. Bangladesh has also achieved 83 per cent success in essential services security, 78 per cent in e-identification and trust services index, 83 per cent in cyber incident response index, 43 per cent in cyber security policy index and 44 percent in education and professional development. Greece tops the NCI index with a score of 97.10. The Czech Republic is in the second position in the index with 92.2 points. Estonia's score in the third position is 90.91.
